We will also be hosting a special fringe event ‘A fair deal for all new home buyers’ at the Labour Party Conference on 23 September.
The Labour Conference event, Chaired by Baroness Ayesha Hazarika MBE, will debate about how we ensure that the proposed 1.5 million new homes to be built doesn’t come at the expense of quality, by using the powers in the Building Safety Act to achieve quality new homes and consistent protection for consumers across the UK.
Full details of the event are provided below.

Whilst over 50% of all new homes being built in England, Scotland and Wales are now covered by the New Homes Quality Code, there is still some way to go to provide total coverage across the UK.
We look forward to hosting this important event to discuss how we can work with government to ensure all new home buyers receive the same levels of protection and redress through the Code and Ombudsman.
