Register of Developers

If you have reserved a new home from an active developer on or after their registration start date, your new home is protected by the New Homes Quality Code (the Code). This means that the developer has agreed to comply with the requirements and principles of the Code and you can raise any issues around the quality and customer service you have received with the independent New Homes Ombudsman Service.

Find out whether the developer you reserved your new home from is registered with the Code by using the search function below.

For an explanation of the areas the Register covers for each developer, click on the question below. For any other questions not covered here, please email [email protected]

What does the Register include?

The NHQB Register of Developers includes four areas:

Developer name: this includes whether they are the parent organisation or an associated/subsidiary organisation. Parent companies are shown on the left of the screen and associated/subsidiary organisations are on the right.

Registration status:

Active - a developer who has activated their registration with the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) and complies with the New Homes Quality Code and the New Homes Ombudsman.

Pending - a developer who has applied for registration with the NHQB but not yet finalised their arrangements. Customers buying a home from these developers are not yet covered by the Code or the Ombudsman but will have some protection under an alternative code.

Deactivated - a developer who was previously active with the NHQB but has since withdrawn from the scheme. Any homeowner who reserved a new home between the developer's registration start and end date is protected by the Code and the Ombudsman for two years from the date of legal completion.

Registration start/end date: the date when the developer activated their NHQB registration and from which customers who reserve a new home are protected by the Code. If an end date is also displayed, it shows that the developer has withdrawn from the scheme and will now be covered by an alternative code. Customers who reserved a home between the registration start and end dates are still protected by the Code for two years from the date of legal completion.

Customer Satisfaction Survey results (measured at 8 weeks after legal completion): Displayed only for developers who are active with NHQB, who participate in the National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey, have received 20 or more survey responses, and have agreed to have their results displayed on this website. Click here for more information about the survey.
